Grand Kankakee Paddle

In October 2020, we hosted a paddle trip on the Kankakee River through the Lasalle Fish and Wildlife Area. This paddle trip took participants along a 4 mile stretch of the river where there are some great bayous to explore. There were presentations given by the LaSalle Property Manager, Zach DeYoung and the District Fisheries Specialist, Tom Bacula. These presentations gave an overview of the area, highlighted recreation opportunities, and emphasized the importance of water quality. The paddlers enjoyed a great day on the river!
